Where I'm from

I’m from the small of my gerbils and my turtle.
The bedding and the seeds
The dirt  and the worms
And their bathrooms that they always use!

I’m from a park that’s near my house
A place where I could be free and play with my friends.
My favorite part of the park is the swings.
My hair in the air, as the swing, swings!
A place I could have fun no matter how old I am!

A big fountain in my neighborhood
So peaceful and relaxing to watch
Throwing coins in it
And hoping my wishes will come true!

I’m from a loving and caring family!
All the love, care, and cards I remember getting from my grandparents

I always eat with my parents
They always talk to me
Always saying one little thing,
“If you don’t try, you will never win”

I am more like my mom!
Getting mad very easily.
We look the same and we both can get impatient.
The biggest thing that’s the same about us is the love that we have for each other!

I am from both love rice with beans and pork
Food that always reminds me of where we came from
And it keeps our family closer together!

Having physical differences never keep us a part!
With the glasses here
And the freckles over there
I am still the same!

In my dresser
Big and bright
A box so beautiful
holding photos and cards
That mean so much,
With the memories that never seem to fail to show where I’m from!
